The city of Reims isn’t particularly extensive and it is pleasant to go around by foot. However, Reims also has a large public transportation system available. It is really easy to get around in the city Reims, especially thanks to its buses and trams that connect the city to its close suburbs.

The cathedral of Reims was the place of coronation of the kings of France, in total 29 kings succeded one another in the sacred place. Expressing through their crowning a superiority over their people and proximity to God. The religious building was certainly noble enough for those prestigious visitors. Notre-Dame Cathedral is a masterpiece of Gothic art made in the 13th century, and as an important fact one of its abbey even houses the remains of the Archbishop Saint Remi. Another outstanding building by its beauty is the Basilica Saint-Rémi, from the 11th century romanesque. It used to be the place of worship for a lot of pilgrims throughout the years. It is also home for the tomb of Saint-Remi. 

The history museum is housed by the former Abbey of Saint-Rémi founded in the sixth century. The building is listed at the UNESCO World Heritage site. The museum of history and archaeology from prehistoric times to the Renaissance comprises a 12th century Romanesque charter house, 16th century tapestries representing the life of Saint Remi and had been keeping the relics of Saint Reminigius
