A sight not to be missed is the Segovia Aqueduct, you can follow it along and take a wander around the picturesque monument. 

Standing above the city you will see the Alcázar with its incredible towers and outstanding views. 

In the old town you will find the Segovia Cathedral, it has an incredible architectural exterior and if you explore the area you will find there are many sidewalks with cafés and surrounding streets with a maze of medieval locations to explore. 

One of the most renowned churches in Segovia is the San Esteban Church, it can be found in the Old Town north of the Plaza Mayor with a tall tower consisting of six arched segments and topped with a weathercock 

If you head to Calle Juan Bravo you will find the aristocratic mansion with a striking exterior resembling a coat of armour. 

There are many different dining options in the center and surrounding areas, with plenty of Restaurants, Bars and cafés to choose from. 

Travel 

The City of Segovia is 50 miles northwest from Madrid and can be reached in an hour by bus and two hours by train, or 30 minutes by AVE. 

The Segovia bus station has a reliable service and frequent buses running through the town, and to surrounding areas such as Madrid. 

There are many train routes running frequently with lines running to Madrid, and surrounding areas by normal train or by the high-speed AVE train. 

You can travel around in a car at your own ace, however driving and parking can be slightly more difficult as the alleys and streets aren't made for modern day cars. 

The Old Town can be easily explored on foot, so you can see many main sights within a short walk. 

Segovia is a city in Spain located in the autonomous community of Castilla and León and is famous for its historic buildings. 

The Aqueduct of Segovia is of Roman era, and the construction dates to the 1st Century AD, the first section of the aqueduct contains 36 semicircular arches, and in the 15th century it was rebuilt to restore the damage the Moors made in 1072 and it runs 15km before it even reaches the city.

In the mid-16th Century the Gothic Style Segovia Cathedral was built, the structure features three tall vaults and ambulatory, with numerous stained-glass windows. 

The Alcázar of Segovia is a medieval alcázar which started off as a Roman Fort, and a world heritage site by Unesco. It was first built as a fortress but has been used as a royal palace, Royal artillery college, military academy and a state prison since then.
