Monastero di Santa Caterina, Cittaducale

The main cloister is from the 15th century, its corridors and rooms enlarged a century later. The neoclassic façade of the church dates from the 18th century. A decade ago, during the restoration of the parlour, a valuable 14th-century fresco was discovered. Although a portion of the fresco did not survive previous repairs, the art that remains is quite lovely.

The guest quarters have been remodelled, 20 beds in single and double rooms, each with a private bath. Men and women are welcome. Towels and linens are supplied.

Make reservations well in advance. Punctuality at meals is required. On the day of arrival, guests are required to arrive at the monastery by 5pm.
