Mariagaarde Castle is centrally located in the village of Hoepertingen, opposite the local church. After crossing a moat, visitors enter Mariagaarde through a red brick gatehouse. Visitors arriving after dark, creep through the quiet village and will find themselves drawn to the inviting lights of the driveway.
The modern guesthouse, immediately to the left of the gatehouse, offers all modern comforts and luxuries in a historic setting. At the same time, the abbey offers the benefits of peace and tranquility, making Mariagaarde a sublime place for a meditative retreat. It also operates as a regional meeting center, and offers workspace for groups to rent. During the summer, Mariagaarde holds creative and artistic workshops and courses, such as singing, sculpting, and calligraphy.
