While the Benedictine monks from nearby Saint Paul’s Abbey (portrait #12) have long left Oosterhout, the nuns of ‘Our Lady Abbey’ still maintain a presence in the ‘Holy Triangle', with its two stunning abbeys and monastery, all in walking distance from one another.
Individuals and groups are welcome to stay from a few days up to a maximum of five. Due to its popularity, the availability of rooms is better on weekdays than weekends, and you should book well in advance. It is appreciated if you make reservations by telephone because the nuns like to become acquainted with their future guests.
The guest rooms are simple and spare, but comfortable. A communal bathroom, with showers and toilets, is located off the main hallway. Guests can make use of a cozy common room, where you can read or meet other guests. There are also religious items available for sale in the corridor. The spacious garden offers opportunities for walking and contemplation.
