Taking different routes, traveling by land and sea, across the Alps or along the coast, Irish pilgrims came to pray at the tombs of the apostles Peter and Paul and to admire the glories of the Eternal City.
The Pontifical Irish College has hosted visitors from Ireland and beyond since its founding in 1628. Continuing this tradition the College founded Villa Ireland Rome to provide accommodation for guests. This separate institution, located on Irish College grounds, will provide bed and breakfast accommodation for individuals, families and groups.
Breakfast is served every dy from 07.30 AM to 09.30 AM, with the exception of Sundays, when it is served from 08.00AM to 10.00AM, in the dining room on the first floor.
The Villa offers its guests a large garden with outside tables and umbrellas.
Mass in English is celebrated every Sunday morning at 10.00 in the Chapel of the Pontifical Irish College: everyone is welcome. Pope Benedict XVI recites the Angelus every Sunday and Holy Day at 12.00 from the window of his apartment overlooking St. Peter's Square.
For those who wish to request tickets for the weekly Wednesday morning audience with the Pope at the Vatican, ask for information at the reception. The reception is open every day from 9.00 to 15.00.

Those who cannot check-in at the scheduled times must notify the Villa in advance. Those who want to organize a transfer from the airport can request it at the reception the day before departure. The cost of the service is € 45.00 (3 pp max) - 60.00 (4-6 pp max), which is paid directly to the driver, once you arrive. Villa Irlanda offers wi-fi service, ask for the access code at the reception.
To make a phone call from your room you must first dial 0 to get a line. To make a call from outside Italy, you need to dial two other 0 (00) followed by the international prefix. The country code for Ireland is 353 and 44 for the UK.
Calls are charged at the normal rate and can be paid for at reception before departure.

Further on you will notice a bar on the right ("800"). After the bar, go right for about 200 meters and on the left you will find a wooden gate (Villa Ireland).
