Silence marks the climate of the monastery. It is therefore important to speak in a moderate voice in the hallways and bedrooms; also, to reduce the intensity of sound devices. In addition, like the monks, you will like to remain completely silent during the night after Compline, from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m.
The spirit of this welcome is that of respect for each person's religious convictions. Also, the context of community monastic life requires the concern of a certain participation in the prayers made in the church.
