The Casa is managed by lay personnel. There are 157 rooms  with 1 to 5 beds; 124 with a private bath. All rooms have TV, telephone and air conditioning.

History

The structure dates to the 18th century. Its history and antiquity are evidenced by the elegant façade of the building. In the 1700s the building was the property of the noble Ceoldo family of Padua and was called the Golden Eagle. It is believed to be the first deluxe hotel in the city. A memorial tablet in the entrance hall of the hotel commemorates the stay of Hapsburg Emperor Joseph II in 1775. He was accompanied by brothers Peter Leopold (Grand Duke of Tuscany), Ferdinand and Maximilian. The second tablet records a 1791 meeting by the crowned heads of Europe. The first significant restoration of the hotel took place in 1937, another in 1950. The historic hotel was completely renovated in 1999 and offers modern accommodations in a relaxed atmosphere.
