History

The founder,Mother Agostina Cassi, was born in Florence on March 17th in 1864, and absorbed the rich and profound religiosity of her parents from an early age.
After the master's qualification, obtained with honors from the Vatican Schools, she joined the Religious of the Protectorate of St. Joseph, taking the name of Sister Maria Agostina.

In the town of Montefalcione in the province of Avellino, where she carried out his apostolate, she fell seriously ill, and  miraculously recovered.
She founded, obeying a specific request from the Most Holy Virgin and following the advice and insistence of H.E. Mons.Di Rende Archbishop of Benevento, the Congregation.

She continued her spiritual work in humility and in the shadows to radiate with her light of grace and goodness the beloved daughters and dear orphans of the House of Varlungo in the province of Florence, where on 8th of July 1921 she died in fame of holiness.

Food & beverage

Guests have access to a dining room with a maximum capacity of about 60 people.
The kitchen service is managed by lay staff and it's offered to singles and groups as well.

For those wishing to relax outdoors, in the shade of the pine trees, or enjoy a packed lunch, the House offers its guests a large park.
