Overview

Located in the heart of the city, Christ Church is conveniently close to museums, shops and restaurants. If you are visiting Oxford during the Easter (March/April) and Summer (July, August, September) holiday periods, why not stay as guests of the college?

The buildings of architectural and historical interest reflect the differing centuries since the college’s foundation. There are no lifts in any accommodation staircases, with some bedrooms up several flights of stairs, which may make them unsuitable for those with mobility needs. There is a limited number of grounds and first floor rooms, so if you have any access requirements please include the details in the additional information box at the time of booking.

Christ Church offers rooms for single or twin occupancy (all guests must be over 18 no refund if the requirements are not met). Ensuite bedrooms have their own basin, shower and toilet within the room. Standard rooms have their own basin but shared bathroom and toilet facilities. Please note: you may have to go up or down two or three flights of stairs from your bedroom to the nearest facilities.

Christ Church was used as a filming location and inspiration for many of the scenes in the Harry Potter films. The grand staircase and Tudor Great Dining Hall are two of the most iconic spots within the college.

The college is unable to accept bookings for Stag and Hen groups and can only accommodate adults (aged 18 and over), and does not permit babies/children sharing a room with adults. All occupants must be over 18. If such a booking is made, you will be asked to cancel it. The refund amount will be in line with T&Cs, or if you arrive at the property, you will be refused entry and no refund will be given. They also do not permit guests to bring in visitors to the College.

I had an exceptional experience and really enjoyed being on the Christ Church campus. It was great being there during hours when it was not open to the public for tours when I could enjoy the quiet and beauty of the grounds. Super close to all of the major sites. Breakfast in the dining hall was a fantastic bonus. Wonderful staff!! I have used University Rooms before in Barcelona and will definitely check the site again for accommodations during future travels,

What I can say, it was a truly remarkable and magical experience! It is such a great idea to offer bed and breakfast at such a wonderful and historic place. The grounds are so well kept and everything is so clean. I can’t recommend this place enough! The staff at the reception are also so helpful, lovely and friendly! They made my stay extra nice and I felt so welcomed. Thank you so much :)

We had a brilliant stay! We received a warm welcome from the porters as soon as we arrived. Lewis checked us in and was very helpful and friendly. Jenny (in Hall) was really lovely and looked after us well (as did all of the catering staff. The breakfast was excellent. We had a lovely room and plan to visit again very soon.

I truly enjoyed my stay, one night prior to a week-long Oxford Experience study programme. It was easy to relax and have a great night’s sleep, in the spacious and sparkling clean room, in the extraordinary and historic college surroundings.

My stay was truly wonderful and a magical experience. The room was incredibly spacious and spot on clean, well worth it! I’ll definitely choose to stay with you again for my next visit.

Thank you for the opportunity! My husband and I are very grateful. Just to let you know, we noticed that the hairdryer in the room heats up very quickly and gives off a plastic smell.

I thought it was the best way to appreciate Oxford especially as we could attend evensong and the Sunday service

I booked this room for my friend. He loves it and the view!
