The convent's accommodation features 12 single, double and triple rooms, some with private bath. Both men and women are welcome.
Founded in 1401 by the Franciscan Order, the monks have inhabited the complex almost uninterruptedly since that time. On two occasions they were forced to leave: in 1835 during the Desamortización and again in 1936 during the Spanish Civil War. During their absence, the buildings were ransacked and vandalized. The church was partially set afire during the Civil War but was restored a few years ago. The restoration of the complex has not been totally completed. Construction is currently underway to enlarge and improve the guest house. In past centuries, the convent was an important spiritual centre, hosting a novitiate for the education of new Franciscan friars. Due to advancing age and attrition, only four friars remain in residence.
All meals can be supplied on request.
The institution is well situated for tours of the region including the Costa Blanca, an area of sharply different coastal scenery. To the north, a wall of mountains closely parallels the sea, dropping away here and there to form sheer cliffs and secluded pebbled coves; to the south lies a vast plain of dunes, palm groves and salt pans.

Directions:
By car: From Valencia take route 340 south and exit at CV40. From there follow the signs to L'Olleria and then ask for the ”Convento del Los Capuchinos.”
By train: Get off at Xátiva and take a bus to L'Olleria. The bus stop is close to the convent.
