Overview

Set in a landscape of superlative beauty, the Convent of La Verna overlooks the Casentino Valley. 

1) The “Foresteria” guest house: 72 bedrooms, each with private bath.
Bedrooms are single, double or triple. The foresteria is usually closed in the last two weeks in January and the last 2 weeks of November. Inquire before making a reservation.
2) “Pastor Angelicus” guest house: 160 beds in 90 single, double, triple and quadruple rooms, each with private bath. The guest house is located approximately 4 km from the convent in the town of Chiusi della Verna. Guests are hosted from Easter to September. 
3) “Tau” dorm: 72 beds in 5 large dorms with shared baths. This special structure is available only for groups of 20 or more young people (16-30 years of age) who wish to experience the Franciscan lifestyle. Towels and linens are supplied.


Food & beverage

1) The “Foresteria” guest house:All meals are offered with the lodging.There is a conference hall and dining room. Hospitality is offered for a minimum of 3 days (not mandatory).

2) “Pastor Angelicus” guest house:All meals are offered with the lodging. Guests can choose lodging and breakfast, half or full pension.

3) “Tau” dorm: Meals are not offered with the lodging. Guests must obtain and prepare their own meals in the kitchen at their disposal.

By car: Exit highway A1 at Arezzo. Follow directions indicating Bibbiena on Strada Statale 71 north.At Rassina, go right towards Chiusi della Verna. By car: From Florence, exit at Incisa on highway A1 and follow the signs to Pontassieve. From Pontassieve, travel to SS70 Passo della Consuma pass. After the pass, follow the signs to Poppi-Bibbiena. From Bibbiena take SS208 to La Verna. By train: At Arezzo, change to the local train line towards Bibbiena/ Pratovecchio/Stia (track #1). Get off in Rassina or Bibbiena and take the LFI bus to Chiusi della Verna.Tickets for the train and bus can be purchased at the train station in Arezzo. Note: Bus and train timetables are available
