Overview

Residencia Filipense "Gertrudis Castañer" opened its doors in 1996 in the capital to offer accommodation, care, and support to all those who need to move to Madrid for their studies and/or work.

The residence is managed by a community of religious sisters from the Filipense Congregation, who, with great dedication and affection, provide residents with a pleasant and welcoming stay, making them feel at home.

The common areas allow you to share moments with other residents. there are two fully equipped lounges, a shared kitchen with individual lockers, a library, and a large rooftop terrace to enjoy outdoor moments. There is also a laundry room with two washing machines, an ironing area, and plenty of drying space.

Additionally,The facilities include an underground parking area, high-speed Wi-Fi, and heating throughout the residence, with some areas equipped with air conditioning.

The residence is very well located and connected to all essential services.

The El Carmen metro station (Line 5) and bus 146 stop are just 2 minutes away. Other nearby metro stations include Pueblo Nuevo (Lines 5 and 7) and La Concepción (Line 7), as well as several bus routes, such as 21 and 38, among others.

It has excellent connections to the different universities, given its central location in Madrid.

There are gyms and a sports center with a swimming pool very close to the residence, as well as a natural park just 3 minutes away, ideal for exercising or taking a walk.

The medical center corresponding to the residence is “Estrecho de Corea”, and the nearest hospital is “Ramón y Cajal.”
