History

Mont Sainte-Odile was built at the end of the 17th century by the Duke of Alsace Etichon-Adalric, who was then the owner of the place and the future father of Sainte-Odile. At first it was a noble residence (Hohenbourg castle) where he lived and secondly, in 1738, a monastery which will quickly turn into a convent thanks to Sainte-Odile. This place quickly becomes a place of pilgrimage. Over the years, the activity of the Mont has developed. Today you can find a hotel, restaurant, self-service, seminar rooms, souvenir shop and religious celebrations.

Food & beverage

On site you can eat in the Saint-Léon restaurant which offers typical Alsatian "à la carte" dishes. But also the self-service available throughout the day for hot and cold catering.

Grounds & Gardens

You will be able to appreciate the interior visit circuit of the sanctuary with the Cours des Tilleuls, the Basilica, the Grande Terrasse and its chapels ...

Outside of Mont Sainte-Odile, many hiking trails begin, such as the path that leads to the miraculous source or to the Pagan Wall.

The internet connection is available throughout the Sanctuary and in the various restaurant locations.

There is a luggage room where you can store your luggage, if you arrive before the check-in time.
