Overview

St. Monica House is located in London's Kennington district, south of the River Thames.

The guest house opened in 1967 and is run by the Maltese Province of the Augustinian Sisters Servants of Jesus and Mary, the sisters live in the convent next door. It is a bright, clean and friendly place where one can rest while enjoying the beautiful sites of London. 

Guests of the sisters are invited to share the Eucharistic Liturgy with the community if they wish. You may find a stay at St Monica House is a mean of spiritual renewal, or maybe enjoy the relaxed, friendly environment as you prefer to take in the tourist sights.

St. Monica House has a private Chapel which could be used by guests. Mass is celebrated from Monday to Saturday and guests are welcome to join the Community and also to spend some quiet time in the Chapel at their own leisure.

Suggested donation applies for this vendor, which is to help the Sisters to run the guest house correctly.

Grounds & Gardens

Kennington is a district in south London and is the location of three significant London landmarks: the Oval cricket ground, the Imperial War Museum, and Kennington Park. The park was once designated one of London's Royal Parks. At one time a place of executions, these days the park is home to more genteel activities, though a Speaker's Corner attracts the politically impassioned.

Thank you very much for a comfortable place to stay last night. It was a very restful sleep and I enjoyed the opportunity to attend the morning Mass. The little cat on the ground floor is also a sweetheart!

Very simple decor but very quiet and clean. Shared bathroom and toilet. Breakfast provided each morning. The sisters are wonderful. Great location - choice of several tube stations close by.
