Overview

The monastery of Sant Benet de Montserrat is located in an area of ​​great natural beauty. Visitors can attend worship in the Church. Is a place of retreat for individuals and groups from all walks of life and beliefs who seek to share the simple life, prayer and rhythms of the Benedictine monastic community of Sant Benet. The guesthouse is equipped with flat rate Wi-Fi. There are two meeting and event spaces available for groups (maximum capacity 20 PAX and 12 PAX each).

History

They can visit the gardens, have an infusion and enjoy the monastery's ceramics in your small shop. All work is carried out by the nuns since 1964 with a contemplative spirit to maintain a way of life empowered by the Spirit.

In prayer nuns follow the liturgical cycles and the Liturgy of the Hours. Its rhythm helps them to delve deeper into the mystery and following of Christ. In the peace of the Montserrat environment, and following the rhythm of nature, they learn to live the Gospel deeply, being open to the beats of the world.

With the work of they hands they earn them living through the beauty of ceramics, decorated candles, postcards..., but they also earn them living through reflection and thought, offering training with different courses in theology, personal growth, retreats... For them, in addition, the monastery's hospitality is an important part of they work. For this reason, they want to live open to everyone who knocks on they door, welcoming and sharing their search for faith and life, while offering them enriching spaces to stay.

Food & beverage

All meals for guests are provided in the guesthouse dining room. 
The meals provided are simple and home cooked. Visitors receive the same as the nuns. Lunch is the main meal of the day (three courses) and dinner is a lighter meal in the evening.
They offer vegetarian and gluten-free options if informed in advance.There is a coffee, tea and hot chocolate machine in the entrance hall of the guesthouse.

Grounds & Gardens

There is a small forest with benches and a table reserved for guests only.

In the middle of Montserrat Mountain, guests can take nature walks and hikes.

Other facilities

There is internet connection throughout the guesthouse. Inside there is a large room (20 people) with mountain views, with good internet connection, a very large table and chairs where you can work, study, read...

There is a space with a little library with books on various genres available for guests to read.

If you don't have a vehicle, there are buses that go from Barcelona directly to Monastery. DEPARTURE: At 9:15am from Plaça dels Països Catalans in Barcelona, ​​next to Sants station. They stop at Sant Benet de Montserrat, notifying the driver when boarding the bus.

RETURN: From Montserrat at 5:00 p.m. (Winter) October 1 to May 31. At 6:00 p.m.(Summer) June 1 to September 30.
