Overview

The hermitage is quartered just outside of town. It is an enormous but simple complex, construction began in 1608 and was completed in 1741. The monks were compelled to leave the institution during the Napoleonic and Italian suppressions. They returned sixty years later and have remained since that  time.

The Eremo can house up to 50 guests in 37 single and double rooms with shared and private baths. Both men and women are welcome. Towels and linens are supplied on request.
