The Institute of the Convittrici del Bambin Gesù was founded in 1671 in Rome by Anna Moroni and Cosimo Berlinsani, regular cleric of the Mother of God. The House in Spoleto was the first foundation after that of Rome.
Orsola Petroni, pious and rich lady Spoletina, had two Convittrici come from Rome to give life to the new congregation. Ms. Petroni placed some of her houses at their disposal near the church of San Nicolò where they resided until 1834, when they moved to the Monastery of Sant’Angelo, making it their current residence. The building is artistically and historically valuable, in particular the Renaissance portico, and is characterized by the presence of the church dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel, dating back to 1700.
This church of particular historical - cultural interest, is known for the presence of an important organ inside.

Among the various services offered by the House, there is a Chapel, which at the moment can accommodate a maximum of 6 people due to the health emergency caused by Covid-19.
