历史

Since the Middle Ages, the inhabitants of Meuse and the surrounding area have loved and frequented this site in the heart of nature, in the center of the Meuse department. They made it a place of pilgrimage where people came in droves from all over the region, a favorite place for families. More recently, other audiences have discovered this welcoming place so close to Paris (one hour by TGV) and to so many places rich in heritage: places of memory, historical monuments, cultural spaces, gourmet specialties.

Close to the tourist attractions of Meuse, it is also a place of healing in lush greenery. For 20 years, the Reception Center has been managed by the Association Benoîte-Vaux Accueil, within the framework of Social and Family Tourism. Its welcoming capacity, combining accommodation and on-site catering, makes it an ideal place for family or association reunions. Its location in the middle of nature is ideal for hikers!

Its listed church is from the 18th century and its exterior Stations of the Cross from the 19th century. A highlight of pilgrimage takes place at the beginning of September: the feast of Ntre-Dame de Benoîte-Vaux. The Meusiens are still very attached to it.

A remarkable hamlet for its church and its Stations of the Cross in the heart of nature, signed Désiré Fossé, it will be the starting point for your excursions.

Several hikes are possible around the center, such as: “Le Vallon Béni” and “De la vallée à la forêt” which are marked circuits.

The team of volunteers will be very happy to welcome you there for information, help you find what you are looking for or simply make a stopover. You can find a religious bookshop there as well as objects, gifts, medals or souvenirs from Benoite-Vaux.

Room rental: Whether you come for professional meetings, training, seminars, congresses, retreats or for family celebrations (weddings, birthdays, “cousins”, etc.), or for holidays, the Benoîte site -Vaux offers a choice of meeting rooms ranging from 5 to 600 seats, conference and catering.
