历史

The history of Domaine Lyon Saint ‐ Joseph begins in 1926, on the land of the archdiocese where a large building was built in the heart of the countryside. Conducive to tranquility, this place welcomed seminarians from the Lyon region who had come to study philosophy.

Over the decades, this haven of peace dedicated to study and calm, has welcomed confessional groups (priests, religious and lay people), spiritual retreats, meetings of Church movements, but also union meetings and first professional training.

With the new millennium, a great turning point is taking place. In 2005, the Archbishop of Lyon decided to open the domain to everyone to offer a hotel and restaurant service while retaining the religious groups.

In 2019, renovation and modernization works are undertaken in the common areas and meeting rooms. A tree climbing park has been created in the wooded area of ​​the Domaine, the technological equipment has been completely redesigned (wifi, TV with VOD, customizable screens in common areas, etc.)

The former seminar was then transformed into a modern 3-star hotel, with undeniable cachet and a warm welcome.
