历史

San José de Artebakarra is the ideal place for those who are aware that harmony and stillness are essential ingredients to find inner peace. The place is majestically located on the Artebakarra hill, surrounded by nature and nestled next to the Santa Clara Monastery whose building is located next to the inn.

This amplifies the sense of spirituality both in sight and in the soul. San José de Artebakarra is a single community of Sisters in two locations, the Monastery of Santa Clara de Belorado (Burgos) and the Monastery of Santa Clara in Artebakarra-Derio. For this reason, the sisters exchange from time to time in the spirit of help, in order to give continuity to the two houses, keeping alive the flame of the Gospel as the fathers, Saint Francis and Saint Clare of Assisi, lived it.

Thanks to the hostelry, renovated in 2015, all those who come share the liturgical life and  fraternal and simple witness, following the Franciscan charism.

Breakfast is included in the price of the room. It includes milk, coffee, infusions, wood-fired bread with butter and jam, and homemade pastries made at home with natural products: cakes, muffins, sobaos ...

Dining service is offered for both lunch and dinner, in which you can enjoy homemade food prepared by ourselves. For common use by all guests, the house has two shared kitchens, kettle, toaster, super-automatic coffee maker, to make the stay more homely.

Located in the Valle del Txorierri, the rural inn is an exceptional place, comprising a building with a capacity of 14 people and a large green area, perfect to take advantage of the nature of and its tranquility.

The inn has access to WIFI throughout the house, cable television in the common room.

The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine and clothesline at the service of guests.
