历史

If this beautiful cultural and tourist site offers a true haven of peace to its visitors, it has also become a high spiritual place where many pilgrims come and are welcomed in a prayerful, simple and fraternal climate, at the Shrines of ND de Grâces and Saint Joseph du Bessillon.

This place is blessed by God because it is the fruit of three appearances: ND of Graces Sanctuary, Sanctuary of St Joseph and the Holy Family, Sanctuary linked to France and to the Assumption.

The Sanctuary has no less than 500 years of history - 360 for that of St Joseph - but it is above all loaded with spiritual memories, those of the pilgrims who came to ask for and receive so many graces, especially for families. Those who come today can guess at their deep roots.

Served on the large south-facing terrace or in the dining room depending on the season, the cuisine offered is family-style: starter, main course, dessert, wine, coffee. A living room allows you to relax by the fireplace in the fireplace while drinking verbena or tea.

Many restaurants are also accessible in the village of Cotignac located 15 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by car.

The estate covers some twenty hectares in a typically Provençal landscape on Mont Verdaille, a rocky hill rising to about 300 m.

Pines, holm oaks, arbutus, cistus, broom, heather, rosemary, thyme, laurel-thyme, scent the hot air in fine weather.
