历史

The Foresteria is located in the ancient Convent of Servi di Maria in Sansepolcro in Tuscany. This Mendicant Order was born in Florence in the first half of 1200, and then spread very soon elsewhere. The first stone of the new convent was laid on February the 18th, in 1294.

The hermitages found in the mountains of Sansepolcro also belong to the Servants of Mary. In 1382 the church dedicated to Saint Mary Mother of God was consecrated. Church and Convent are not as they were originally, in fact, of the baroque interiors built in 1717 - 1727, and of the original Gothic, only the perimeter walls remain.

The structure offers a self managed kitchen or with catering service and refractory, with a maximum capacity of 60 people, where, upon prior reservation, groups of at least 8-10 people are welcomed for breakfast and dinner. Near the Foresteria there are trattorias and pizzerias with special prices.
