Historie

The House belongs to the Institute of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus founded by Santa Francesca Cabrini. Mother Francesca Cabrini was born in Sant'Angelo Lodigiano on July 15, 1850, and since she was a child she became passionate about the missionary life, and began her apostolic journey in a house of orphans that was run by two women of little spirituality.

In 1880 he founded the Institute of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Codogno, and became a point of reference for emigrants. For them he opened schools, boarding schools, hospitals and orphanages. Mother Cabrini did not only dedicate herself to emigrants, and became an example of dedication to others, spreading the culture of life and hope, with faith, prayer and solidarity.

She died in Chicago on December 22, 1917, and was beatified in 1938, before moving on to the canonization process in 1946, and for all today she bears the name of Santa Francesca Cabrini.
