Historie

In 1932, St. Luigi Orione, a tortonse priest, founded the Little Work of Divine Providence, present today in more than 30 countries around the world. He bought Villa Lomellini, an elegant 18th century residence.

The house was first a seminary, then a shelter for the guests of the S. Caterina institute in Genoa, and in the following years,became a professional training school for carpenters and mechanics.

In 1984 the scholastic activity ceased. In the 1990s, there was a renovation project, and it became the current Vacation Homes and Convention Center.
