A Antica Dimora Sant'Anna é administrada diretamente pelas Irmãs Franciscanas de Santa Elisabetta e está localizada no centro histórico de Florença, a apenas 200 metros da estação ferroviária, que permite conexões para Roma, Milão, Pisa e Siena.

A propriedade oferece 22 quartos (16 duplos e 6 individuais), todos com banheiro privativo, com possibilidade de apenas hospedagem ou com café da manhã incluso, ou com meia pensão.

História

The Franciscan Sisters of Santa Elisabetta were born in Tuscany, in the municipality of Pratovecchio Stia in the province of Arezzo, in the small hamlet of Casalino in the heart of the Upper Casentino in the diocese of Fiesole, on May 26, 1888, on the initiative of a young girl from the town, Elisabetta Casci (who will take the name of Sr. Francesca) and of the same parish priest of Casalino Don Giuseppe Marchi.

Moved by the Holy Spirit, the Founders began the new Religious Family, which in the footsteps of Francis of Assisi dedicated itself to the service of the poor, orphans and the sick, contemplating in them the crucified face of Christ. Their charitable work spread at the beginning of the Tuscan Apennines, at the time without public assistance structures, far from urban centers and with few means of communication.

Currently the Institute is present in Italy, Bolivia, India, Indonesia, Istraele, Vietnam and in the Philippines.

Outstanding service. Exceptionally clean and experly well maintained rooms. Suore Michaela and Lily are administrative experts and wonderful hosts. I most enjoyed waking up to their morning prayers and beautiful singing. I hope to return with my grandchildren soon. Seeing such devout nuns with extremely pleasant demeanors has renewed my very own faith in Christ.

Those who are unable to check-in / check-out at the scheduled times must contact the property directly and notify the reception staff. Casa Sant'Anna is located in the historic center of Florence, 200 meters from the Santa Maria Novella station, 100 meters from the bus stop and the underground, for connections to the city and to the airport. Just a few minutes walk from Piazza Indipendenza where all the buses pass. A few steps from the house is the famous San Lorenzo market, with the stupendous Basilica and the attached museum. Piazza San Marco with its ancient Basilica which houses the remains of the illustrious and (holy) mayor of Florence Giorgio La Pira and the museum with the illustrious works of Beato Angelico. In 10 minutes on foot you can reach the Cathedral of Florence with the beautiful Giotto bell tower, the Baptistery with the famous golden door and many other artistic and cultural discoveries left to your curiosity.
