Located in the middle of forests and mountains, the Monestir de les Avellanes is located in the municipality of Os de Balaguer (Noguera). Its 12th-century cloister, like its Gothic church, which began in the 14th century, are now silent witnesses to a long tradition - maintained by various religious families - of seeking God, of hospitality and of service to the people.
The Marist Brothers wanted to collect the old monastic tradition and adapt it to a 21st century monastery.
The Hospedería del Monasterio de las Avellanas has 37 double rooms, all exterior, with all the comforts, full bathroom, air conditioning, telephone, internet connection, piped music, hairdryer and of course views of the natural enviroment.
