Panoramica

The story of the Oasi began in the Middle Ages when it was built by Agnolo di Ranieri who donated the monastery to the Franciscan nuns.

60 single, double, triple and quadruple rooms, each with private bath.

Usually closed from November to February but can be opened for
groups.


Storia

In 1782 the monastery was suppressed by Pietro Leopoldo de’ Medici for political and economic reasons. In the second part of 1800 it was used for silk-
worm breeding. In 1891 the Redentorist fathers bought, restored and turned the oasi into a seminary. During WWII it also served as a hospital. The complex has been a hotel since 1973.

All meals are available with the lodging. Breakfast is always included. There is a 13th century wine cellar.

By car: Exit at Valdichiana on highway A1 and follow the signs to Perugia on S 73. Exit at Cortona and follow the signs to the centre and then to the Oasi Neumann. By train: Get off at Camucia/Cortona or Terontola/Cortona on the Florence/Rome line. The public bus will drop you about 1 km from the oasi. You can also call the oasi and arrange transportation.
