Überblick

Das Haus bietet einen spektakulären Blick über den Llangors Lake bis zum westlichen Rand der Black Mountains. Es ist ein friedlicher Ort und ein Paradies für Naturliebhaber, die die seltene Schönheit der Umgebung bewundern können.

Im Haupthaus gibt es sechs Zweibettzimmer und elf Einzelzimmer. Zwei Zimmer im Erdgeschoss verfügen über ein eigenes Bad und sind behindertengerecht ausgestattet. Die übrigen Badezimmer werden gemeinsam genutzt. Im angrenzenden Cottage gibt es zwei Zweibettzimmer und ein Einzelzimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad.

All meals are provided. It is possible to have B&B, half board and full board.

Towels and bed linens are provided. Inside the main house, there is a large comfortable lounge with views across Llangors Lake to the Black Mountain, a library, newly refurbished dining room with windows overlooking the lake, prayer crypt and chapel. Inside the cottage, there is a lounge that can also serve as a meeting room.

By car: From London take M4 to Newport and follow the signs to Abergavenny on A449 and A40. Leave Abergavenny on the A40 and pass through a village called Crickhowell. Keep on the A40 until the village of Bwlch. Follow the road through the village until the War Memorial and turn right at sign-posted Llangors. After the turn, the road narrows for about 200 yds. Turn left at sign-posted Pennorth. Follow the lane for about a mile until a sign saying Llangasty and Llangasty Church. Turn right and the Retreat House is about 400 yds down this lane on the left. By train: Public transport is difficult to Llangasty. However, there is a train from London-Paddington to Newport/Gwent (destination Swansea/Cardiff). Change at Newport for Abergavenny. Arrange with the House to be picked up there.
