Le Grand Couvent, Gramat

Storia

The Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame du Calvaire was founded by Father Pierre Bonhomme in the 1800s.

The current convent was created thereafter and later the dependencies of the Farm, the Chapel, and the current Convent, between 1864 and 1880.

The congregation has grown and you can now find sisters in Africa, Vietnam, South America, among others ...

Currently, the mother house of the sisters is in Gramat, and the building has become a place of retreat for the sisters.

Cibo & bevande

At the restaurant of the Grand Couvent there is two types of unique menu, served by the teams:

- The "Standard" menu, a menu developed by the cooks with fresh products.

- The "Terroir" menu, a menu developed by the cooks with fresh products, for a tasting of local products and flavors from the region.

Off the menu, there are several types of wine: rosé, white and red, from neighboring vineyards and recognized for their taste quality.

Terreni & Giardini

The Grand Couvent of Gramat is surrounded by an enclosure securing the area. It is possible to relax in the 10 acres park, to enjoy the subtle scent of the lavender field, or that of the garden of the sisters' aromatic plants.

A small biblical path awaits you to take it and will make you stand out entirely positive! Similarly, a walk is possible all around the park under large trees whose freshness will soothe you in summer.
