Dar Mamilla Guest House is part of a network of activities carried out by the pro Terra Sancta Association. Located in the monastery of St. Vincent de Paul, the main objective is not only to host visitors from all over the world, but also to help the work of the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. The Sisters have been active in Jerusalem since 1884 and currently run a kindergarten with 240 children and a center for people with severe disabilities. Filles De La Charité De Saint Vincen De Paul The Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul are a society of apostolic life for women within the Catholic Church. The institute was founded in 1633 by Vincent de Paul, a French priest and Louise de Marillac. The institution is present in about 90 countries around the world, counting over 14,000 nuns who dedicate their lives to the service of the poorest and most abandoned individual, living a life of humility and simplicity dedicated to charity. The Hospice Saint Vincent De Paul in Jerusalem (Mamilla) was founded in 1885 on the initiative of the Sisters of Charity who wanted to take care of the lepers of Jerusalem. The hospital has always worked for the sick and the poor, in particular for orphans and other children, as well as for the disabled and the elderly who receive love and comprehensive care.
