Visión general

En 1995, el Colegio fue sometido a una importante remodelación para recuperar su belleza original. Actualmente, es una combinación de casa de huéspedes de 3 estrellas y casa de retiro cristiano, abierta a personas y familias para vacaciones cortas, y un centro de retiro con fines espirituales. También sirve como centro de conferencias y estudios para grupos profesionales. La casa de huéspedes tiene capacidad para 32 huéspedes en 16 habitaciones individuales, dobles con dos camas individuales, matrimoniales y familiares (hasta 4 adultos). Cinco habitaciones tienen baño privado y están adaptadas para personas con discapacidad. Cerrado en enero y febrero.


Historia

In the late 1880s, Lord Glasgow suffered a financial crash and the College was closed. Thanks to the determination of the then Bishop of Argyll, the property was not lost and the centre continued as a retreat house.

By car: From London take M1, then M6 and then M74 as far as Glasgow. Join the M73 until the M8. Leave the M8 at junction 28A (sign-posted Irvine A737) and merge onto the A737. Join the A760 sign-posted Largs. Once at Largs there is regular ferry service to the island of Cumbrae (10-minute trip). For timetable, prices and conditions visit www.calmac.co.uk.
