Histoire

At the beginning, where the Guesthouse and the park are, there were different properties as " Romitello " " Villa del Sacro Cuore" and " Villa Marcella". This last one, was demolished to build, in the 60s, a new building which had to meet the needs of a city in strong urban expansion, which was Rome in those years. Today, this building give hospitality to the Guesthouse. 
In the 50s, the Congregation of the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of Castres decided to buy a land to establish "the General Power of Attorney", of the Congregation, fulfilling in this way a desire expressed by the founder in May 1853, and also by the Holy See, to facilitate ecclesiastical relations with the Congregation. During the following years, after the Romitello, the acquisition of the whole property has been completed. 

The Congregation has been founded in 1836 from Emilie de Villeneuve, doughter of the french nobility. Her ideal was to follow Jesus Christ and serve the poor and needy, and that every activity of the Congregation had, directly or undirectly, this purpose.

Food and drinks machines are available. 
It is possible on request, to have lunch or dinner in the property. 
Breakfast is always included in the price.

Espaces verts et alentours

The Romitello's garden is a quiet green island in the lively commercial area of Torrevecchia-Primavalle, in Rome. 
During every time of the year the Romitello's park is a colorful oasis of sounds and scents: the huge garden hostes many mediterranean trees like pine trees, olive tree and cedar of lebanon, but also a variety of plants and flowers that give it colour all year long. 
The park is open to the guests who want to relax, walking in the green or sitting under the shades of pine trees.

There is also a Chapel for who is searchig for a moment of spiritual recollection.
