Histoire

The Rural Missionary Brothers (FMC) are a religious congregation founded in 1943 in La Houssaye-en-Brie by Father Michel Épagneul (OP).

The Priory is their motherhouse.

Some brothers are priests; the brothers make vows of poverty, chastity and obedience; they live in a community of at least three brothers. There are Apostolic Religious Communities of Missionary Brothers and Country Sisters in France. in Benin, Burkina Faso, and Togo.

Restauration et Boissons

The cook at the Hôtellerie du Palis favors local products and short food supply chains. All catering is prepared on-site.

The price of the meals varies from 12 to 15€ depending on the age of the guests.

Espaces verts et alentours

Le Prieuré Saint Martin is located in a rural hamlet in Briard, with local shops and a weekly market of local producers. The small village of La Houssaye-en-Brie is located 45 km east of Paris, near the A4 and the N4 and equidistant from Meaux, Melun and Provins, and near Marne-la- Valley.

On foot, there are many paths to discover the bell towers of La Houssaye-en-Brie, Marles-en-Brie and Crèvecœur-en-Brie: they are partly 14th century churches, Briard farms traditional, La Houssaye castle, Crèvecoeur castle. Also note the hikes in the bridle paths of the forest of Hautefeuille, or the forest of Crécy. Marne, Guermantes, Grosbois...

By taking public transport, you can easily get to Paris during the day.

The hotel called "Le Palis" has 22 rooms with 1 to 4 beds served by lift offering a total of 42 beds.

A refectory and several adjoining meeting rooms can accommodate up to 90 people, smaller rooms are available for hire.

A veranda along the entire length of the building, the meeting room space can be used as a space for coffee breaks and exchanges.
