Histoire

These cave-sanctuaries, partly carved by human hands in a sandstone escarpment, perpetuate the memory of Saint Anthony of Padua who often came to this place during the year 1226.

Shortly after his death, the caves became a place of pilgrimage and a small hermitage was built there. In the last century, the hermitage was replaced by a chapel and a convent which has since become Maison d'Accueil.
Saint-Antoine protects the city of Brive. The pilgrims always come in large numbers to meditate in the caves, at the places of his prayer.

From the esplanade, surrounded by magnificent trees, one can follow a path in the middle of this peaceful enclosure to the Calvary from which one discovers a very beautiful panorama of the city.

The traditional catering invites you to take a seat on the ground floor of the Reception House.

The menu consists of a starter, a main course, cheese and a dessert. Wine will be served at the table. Just indicate your diet will make your stay and kitchen management easier.

At the end of the corridor on the first level of the bedrooms, a warm oratory invites you to read, pray, meditate, silence or a moment with yourself.

On the ground floor, an outdoor terrace under the wisteria will bring you freshness and well-being, the atmosphere of a peaceful moment.
